How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Part Time Science Teacher - Physics & Chemistry

    Science Teacher Required - September start- long-term 1 year contract
    KS2-KS5,. QTS required. Main Pay Scale to Upper Pay Scale (dependent on qualifications and experience)

    An exceptional SEN school in Cambridge is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Science Teacher with a specialist in Physics and Chemistry to join their team from September 2026 on a 1-year long-term placement.

    The Role

    As a Part-Time Science Teacher, you will:

    Deliver engaging KS3 & KS4 Science, specialising in Physics and Chemistry
    Adapt and differentiate learning for students with ASD and complex needs
    Work closely with experienced TAs to support engagement and progress
    Deliver practical, accessible and hands-on Science lessons
    Support both academic progress and social-emotional development
    Contribute to a calm, structured and positive learning environment

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have

    QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
    Strong subject knowledge in Physics and/or Chemistry
    Experience teaching Science at KS3/KS4 (SEN experience highly desirable)
    A calm, patient and adaptable teaching style
    Confidence supporting learners with ASD and additional needs
    A passion for inclusive education and making Science accessible to all learners
