How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Sindlesham nr Wokingham, commutable from: Reading, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Slough, Windsor, Camberley, Farnborough, Fleet, Basingstoke, Thatcham & all surrounding areas

    Are you a qualified Electrical Engineer with experience in critical environments, looking to step into a key role supporting essential infrastructure systems?

    This is an opportunity to take ownership of high-profile engineering operations, ensuring the resilience and continuity of systems that underpin nationally significant services. You'll play a key role in maintaining and optimising critical assets, from power distribution and backup systems through to HVAC & building management technologies.

    Working both independently and alongside a skilled engineering team, you'll ensure operational continuity, offering the chance to build specialist expertise in a niche and highly sought-after area of engineering, making it ideal for professionals seeking long-term career growth and technical progression.

    The organisation is a major UK facilities and engineering services provider, supporting some of the country's most important infrastructure assets and employing thousands of specialists nationwide.     This position would suit an Engineer with critical services experience, looking for specialist training and development pathways and the chance to progress to Authorised Person.

    The Role:

    Maintain continuous operation of critical systems in a 24/7 environment
    Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical systems (UPS, generators, HVAC, LV)
    Manage system data, reports, and logs
    The Candidate:

    NVQ qualified or apprentice-trained
    Experience in critical or complex building services environments
