We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Van Driver to join a well-established business specialising in high-end furniture.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for making deliveries across High Wycombe and the surrounding areas, while providing excellent customer service. This role involves a combination of driving and warehouse duties, with typical hours of 40–50 per week.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with a permanent contract offered after successful completion of 12 weeks.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations in line with delivery schedules
* Carry out pre-use vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness
* Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled and secured correctly
* Maintain accurate delivery records and complete all required paperwork
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding deliveries and any issues
* Support warehouse operations when required, including stock organisation and general duties
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role (commercial driving preferred)
* Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties
* Must be aged 25 or over (insurance purposes)
* No more than 6 penalty points on driving licence
* Strong communication skills and a professional manner
* Basic understanding of warehouse and logistics operations is advantageous
