How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Design Engineer - Aircraft Interiors
    Location: Bournemouth, Dorest area
    Permanent Position

    Purpose of the Role

    We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering Team, supporting the delivery of innovative electrical design solutions for new concepts and the customisation of existing aircraft interior products.The role is responsible for ensuring electrical designs are delivered to cost, time, and quality, and in full compliance with airworthiness, manufacturing regulations, and industry best practice.
    Key Responsibilities

    Engineer electrical solutions for aircraft interior products to meet defined specification requirements

    Produce 2D and 3D electrical design data to support programme milestones

    Contribute learning and continuous product improvement ideas into the design team

    Produce programme-specific electrical qualification and compliance documentation as required

    Support production by investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving build issues

    Ensure engineering activities adhere to company processes and standards

    Capture and promote lessons learned across the business

    Actively support operational excellence initiatives

    Knowledge & Experience

    Experience within manufacturing and engineering design processes

    Strong development, analytical, and problem-solving skills

    Effective communicator, able to engage across multiple technical disciplines

    Working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD systems, particularly for wire routing and layouts

    Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience within aircraft design

    Understanding of Electrical systems documentation - including Electrical load Analysis, Acceptance Test Plan Requirements

    Creative with strong design flair and innovation skills

    Self-motivated, able to plan and prioritise workload independently

    Comfortable working in a diverse, fast-paced, and dynamic environment

    Confident in making reasoned and well-justified engineering decisions

    Desired Experience/ Skills

    Understanding of Airbus and Boeing specifications and processes
    Awareness of UK CAA, EASA and FAA regulations, including CS25 and FAR
