How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    £35,000 – £50,000 + Uncapped Commission

    The Role

    This role is centred around new business development and offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to build and grow a pipeline from the ground up.

    You will be responsible for identifying and engaging new prospects, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and introducing tailored IT solutions that align with business goals. This is a consultative sales role where success comes from understanding customer challenges and delivering long-term value rather than transactional selling.

    Working closely with internal technical and service delivery teams, you will help shape bespoke solutions for clients while contributing directly to the company’s continued growth in the Yorkshire region.

    Key Responsibilities

    Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach including phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking
    Build, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline
    Identify and engage with key decision-makers across multiple industries
    Conduct consultative sales conversations to understand business needs and challenges
    Work collaboratively with internal technical specialists to create tailored IT solutions
    Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activity, and pipeline forecasting
    Consistently work toward revenue targets and business growth objectivesAbout You

    Previous experience in B2B sales, business development, account management, or lead generation
    Confident with outbound prospecting and cold calling
    Experience within IT, technology, telecoms, managed services, or professional services is highly desirable
    Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
    Target-driven with a proactive and resilient mindset
    Highly organised with strong attention to detail
    Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools
