How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are working with an established and growing multidisciplinary construction consultancy that operates across the public and private sectors throughout London and the South East. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a highly organised and proactive Surveying Operations Coordinator to support their busy Building Surveying team.

This is a pivotal role within the business. The successful candidate will act as the central operational hub for a team of surveyors, ensuring diaries, appointments, documentation, and client communications are coordinated efficiently and professionally.

This is not a passive administrative role. Our client is looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, keeping people organised, and making things happen in a fast‑paced professional environment.

    The Role

Working closely with the Building Surveying team, the Surveying Operations Coordinator will play a key part in ensuring projects run smoothly and clients receive a high standard of service.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Managing surveyor diaries, appointments, and daily scheduling

    * Coordinating access arrangements with residents, clients, and contractors

    * Liaising with clients, managing agents, consultants, and contractors

    * Preparing report templates, documentation, and professional correspondence

    * Maintaining internal trackers, job records, and workflow systems

    * Monitoring deadlines and proactively chasing outstanding actions

    * Assisting with fee proposals and supporting invoicing administration

    * Providing general operational support to the surveying team

    * Identifying opportunities to improve internal systems, processes, and efficiency

    About You

    * Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

    * Strong written and verbal communication skills

    * Confident and professional when dealing with clients and stakeholders

    * Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment

    * Comfortable working independently and using initiative

    * Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

    * Calm under pressure with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach

    * Experience in property, construction, surveying, housing, or professional services would be highly advantageous

    What’s On Offer

    * A key role within a respected and growing consultancy

    * Genuine responsibility and autonomy

    * A supportive and professional team environment

    * Hybrid working arrangement (London / Euston)

    * Competitive salary based on experience

    * Competitive pension and holiday package

    * Opportunity to grow and develop with the business
