How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Act as a client-facing representative, attending meetings, developing briefs, and providing technical guidance

Produce, review, and coordinate high-quality design outputs, ensuring integration with other disciplines

Mentor junior engineers and support the wider team with technical knowledge and best practice

Contribute to fee proposals, bids, and business development activities where required

Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards, maintaining a focus on sustainable design

Manage project resources and support the financial performance of allocated projects

    About You

Degree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)

Chartered or working toward CEng status with CIBSE or IET

7–10 years’ experience within a UK building services consultancy

Strong technical design skills with a proven ability to deliver across multiple sectors

Excellent communication and client-facing skills, able to build long-term professional relationships

Confident managing project delivery and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams

    What’s on Offer

Competitive salary package: £55K–£65K depending on experience

Annual bonus and comprehensive benefits package

    Flexible and hybrid working arrangements

Opportunity to lead on high-profile, diverse projects

Supportive culture with clear progression opportunities toward Associate and beyond
