How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you a qualified lawyer who's fascinated by how AI is reshaping the legal profession? This could be the move that puts you at the forefront of that change.

I'm retained by a global, market-leading software business that has invested significantly in AI-driven legal technology. They're now looking for someone with a legal background to join their team in a hybrid role that bridges legal expertise and commercial technology — working with a range of UK clients, including Government, public sector, and wider legal markets.

    What the role actually involves:

This isn't a traditional sales role, but it sits at the heart of the sales effort. You'll work alongside the sales team as the subject matter expert — understanding client pain points, scoping solutions, delivering product demonstrations, running proof-of-concept trials, and responding to RFPs and RFIs. You'll be the person who can genuinely speak the language of both sides of the table: the practice of law and the business of law.

Beyond client-facing work, you'll also play a visible role as a thought leader — speaking at webinars and industry events, shaping internal understanding of use cases, and helping colleagues build their own fluency in legal AI.

    Who this is for:

Ideally, you're a qualified lawyer with a few years of post-qualification experience — whether that's in private practice, in-house, or the public sector. Any exposure to UK Government or public sector legal work is a real plus, but it's not essential.

You don't need to be a technologist today — but you do need genuine curiosity about legal AI and how it's being applied across areas like document review, contract analysis, legal research, and workflow automation.

You'll need to be confident client-facing, an articulate presenter, and comfortable translating complex technology into clear commercial value. A consultative, problem-solving mindset is essential. German or French language skills are a nice-to-have but not required.

    Why it's an interesting move:

You'd be joining a business that's genuinely leading the conversation on legal AI, with the products and investment to back it up. For a lawyer who wants to stay close to the profession but step into something more commercial, varied, and forward-looking, roles like this don't come up often.

If you'd like to hear more, send me a message and I'll share the full details in confidence.
