How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Water Supply Pipe Lead Engineer

    £32,000 – £42,000 + Bonus + OTE
    Full-Time | Permanent
    Location: South & West London, Surrey, Sussex & Middlesex

    About the Role

    One of our clients is looking for an experienced Water Supply Pipe (WSP) Lead Engineer to join their expanding team.

    This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take the lead on water supply pipe works, including leak detection, repairs, and full installations using moling and trenching methods. You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality work while supporting and guiding engineers on-site.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    * Leading water supply pipe works across residential properties

    * Carrying out leak detection, spot repairs, and full pipe installations

    * Ensuring all work meets current regulations and passes inspection first time

    * Supporting and coordinating jobs from the wider contracting team

    * Delivering excellent customer service on every job

    * Working safely in line with H&S policies, RAMS, and company procedures

    What They’re Looking For

    Essential:

    * NVQ Level 2 Plumbing (or higher) / City & Guilds Level 2

    * Proven experience in water supply pipe repairs and installations

    Desirable:

    * WIAPS knowledge or accreditation

    * Experience with moling and trenching

    * CAT & Genny trained

    * Streetworks (Level 1 or 2)

    * Shoring and excavation experience

    You’ll also need:

    * Strong communication skills

    * A proactive, problem-solving attitude

    * Ability to work independently and lead a team
