How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic

    Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
    Salary: Up to £40,000 Basic Salary | OTE Up to £44,000
    Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm | Saturdays on a Rota 8:30am - 1:00pm
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

    The Role

    As a Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality servicing, maintenance and repairs while maintaining manufacturer standards and ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop to the highest standard.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work efficiently

    • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults

    • Completing repairs in line with manufacturer specifications

    • Conducting vehicle health checks and identifying additional work where required

    • Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer and health & safety standards

    • Accurately completing workshop documentation and job cards

    • Working closely with the wider workshop team to deliver excellent workmanship and customer satisfaction

    About You

    • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)

    • Minimum 3 years' experience within the automotive industry

    • Strong servicing, repair and diagnostic skills

    • MOT Tester Licence desirable but not essential

    • Your own tools and toolbox

    • Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks)

    • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)

    • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
