How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Behaviour Mentor - Secondary Specialist Provision - May and September starts, Permanent

    Are you a confident, empathetic graduate who is considering a career in education?

    Do you have the patience and resilience to be able to support students with their behaviour, to ensure they are receiving the best possible education?

    If so, this is the perfect behaviour mentor opportunity for you! This role is perfect for a resilient, dedicated and passionate individual who wants to remove barriers to learning for students who are unable to attend their mainstream provisions.

    This school supports mainly autistic students as well as those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The nurturing environment delivers tailored care and education to promote social, academic and emotional growth.

    Behaviour Mentor - the role
    * Support students in KS3-KS4 to regulate their emotions
    * On-site physical activities available to use such as gym
    * Based in Manchester (Wythenshawe, other locations may be available)
    * Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis - very small class sizes
    * Work with pupils who have additional need such as Autism and SEMH
    * Permanent position - September start - possible May starts
    * Work Monday - Friday school hours, term time only
    * DBS check required, safeguarding and other training provided

    Behaviour Mentor - Requirements
    * Experience or knowledge supporting children with SEN and/or SEMH needs
    * Very patient and empathetic
    * Confident and enthusiastic, with a love of learning!
