How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Kenton Black are recruiting for a Temporary Site Agent position in the Aberdeen area, working on a specialist infrastructure and energy-related project.

Our client, a reputable and established contractor within the power and utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Site Agent to oversee site operations on a temporary basis for an initial 4-month duration. This is a full-time, on-site role and would suit a Site Agent with a strong background in BESS, substations and/or cabling works.

The role will involve working Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm, managing day-to-day site activities and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activities
    - Oversee and coordinate BESS works on site
    - Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, drawings and specifications
    - Manage subcontractors and site teams, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met
    - Maintain high levels of health, safety and environmental compliance at all times
    - Carry out site briefings, toolbox talks and inspections
    - Liaise with project management, engineers and the client as required
    - Ensure accurate site records, reports and documentation are maintained

    What You Bring:

    - Proven experience working as a Site Agent on BESS, substation and/or cabling projects
    - Strong understanding of site management within the power or energy sector
    - SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification (essential)
    - Ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively on site
    - Strong organisational and communication skills
    - Self-sufficient and capable of running site operations independently
    - Willingness to work in the Aberdeen area with no digs provided

    Why This Role?

This is a well-paid temporary opportunity with a competitive daily rate of £380 – £400, paid CIS. The role offers consistent working hours and the chance to work on a technically interesting project with an established contractor. Please note that digs are not provided, and for candidates living away, they must be willing to cover accommodation costs themselves with no uplift in rate.

If you’re an experienced Site Agent with BESS, substation and cabling experience and are available for a 4-month temporary role in the Aberdeen area, we’d be keen to hear from you
