How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Provide comprehensive operational support to the procurement team, helping deliver a high‑quality, compliant procurement service that achieves value for money. This temporary role is based in Liverpool and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects.

    Non for profit organisation based in Liverpool Centre.

    Description

    Oversee procurement activities, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
    Support tendering, quotation and sourcing exercises in line with UK procurement regulations, assisting internal stakeholders and suppliers throughout the process.
    Assist with contract and supplier management activities, including maintaining contract records, coordinating meetings, monitoring supplier performance and managing supplier onboarding and reviews.
    Manage and support the day‑to‑day operation of eProcurement and finance systems, including requisition review, catalogue management, reporting and accurate purchase order administration.
    Provide advice, guidance and practical support to staff and suppliers to ensure understanding of procurement policies, systems and compliant purchasing practice.Profile

    Experience of working within a procurement environment, with understanding of procurement policies, procedures and the requisition process.
    Proven experience working in public sector procurement and using public sector regulations (e.g. PA23 and PCR2015).
    Proven ability to use finance, procurement and eProcurement systems to manage requisitions, orders, suppliers and reporting accurately and efficiently.
    Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving skills, with experience analysing procurement and financial data to support value for money and decision‑making.
    Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide advice, guidance and support to staff, suppliers and senior stakeholders.Job Offer

    Daily rate of £250-£300 per day (Inside IR35) depending on experience, with 3 days per week on site in Liverpool
