How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Graduate Transport Planner
    📍 Bristol | 💼 Full-time | Permanent

    We are looking for a Maths or Civil Engineering graduate to join a growing Transport Planning team in Bristol as a Graduate Transport Planner.

    This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in transport planning, with an initial focus on traffic analysis and transport modelling software, alongside the chance to develop broader consultancy skills over time.

    🚀 The Role

    You will start by building strong technical foundations in transport data and modelling. Your responsibilities will include:

    * Supporting traffic analysis and transport modelling using specialist software

    * Working with datasets to produce accurate, meaningful outputs

    * Assisting in the preparation of technical reports and transport assessments

    * Supporting senior consultants on development and infrastructure projects

    As your experience grows, you will gain wider exposure across the team, including:

    * Transport assessments and development planning support

    * Site feasibility and transport appraisal work

    * Client and stakeholder project support

    * Involvement in a wide range of live consultancy projects

    🎓 About You

    We are looking for someone who has:

    * A degree in Mathematics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline

    * Strong numerical and analytical skills

    * An interest in transport, infrastructure, or the built environment

    * Good attention to detail and communication skills

    * A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new software and techniques

    No prior industry experience is required, as full training will be provided.
