Trimble/LSS Setting Out Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Setting Out Engineer to join a major infrastructure project on the HS2 route.

Project Details:

This role will support Backfill operations, working across multiple active work areas in Buckinghamshire.

Contract Length: Approx. 6 months (with potential extension)

Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out daily compliance surveys across 4–6 active gangs/work areas

Process and manage survey data accurately and efficiently

Ensure all setting out and surveying activities meet project specifications and standards

Coordinate with site teams to maintain smooth operational delivery

Requirements:

Strong setting out and surveying experience within civil engineering projects

Excellent working knowledge of LSS software and Propeller

Competent with Trimble equipment (own equipment beneficial but not essential)

Ability to work independently across multiple work fronts

Own 4x4 vehicle and IT equipment preferred
