How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Compliance & Risk Officer

    Location: Denham, UK
    Working Hours: Mon–Thu 08:15–16:45, Fri 08:15–12:15

We are looking for a pragmatic, solution-oriented Compliance & Risk Officer to join our team in Denham and help navigate the unique challenges of a high-stakes, family-run aerospace business.

    The Role

    This isn't a role for a theorist. You will be a "doer" who moves beyond simple execution to true ownership. Reporting to the Group Head of Compliance with a dotted line to the Risk Manager, you will act as a bridge between complex regulations and practical business solutions.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    * Risk Leadership: Managing risk registers, coordinating with VPs and Risk Champions, and preparing high-level reporting for the Risk Committee.

    * System Innovation: Championing our risk management systems, with the opportunity to lead the transition from Excel to dedicated risk management software.

    * Regulatory Intelligence: Researching and implementing upcoming regulations (such as the 2027 Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanisms) and translating them into policy.

    * Training & Consistency: Coordinating mandatory training (Anti-Bribery, Fraud) and ensuring company procedures are consistent across the board.

    * Strategic Communication: Delivering eloquent, clear, and complex risk information to NEDs, shareholders, and senior leadership.

    * Experienced: You have a proven track record of reviewing legislation and developing the controls needed to keep a business safe and compliant.
