This role is to join an engineering consultancy operating in the construction industry. This apprentice / trainee role will be responsible for assisting engineers in order that you gain experience and detailed working knowledge of all parts of the construction industry; you will become a design engineer.
Responsibilities
* Assist Senior Engineers with detailed design tasks, equipment selection and drawing production.
* Learn about components to system designs and the different types of systems that exist in buildings.
* Learn how to carry out detailed design calculations and how to use computer design packages.
* Learn and understand construction techniques.
* To gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainable design.
Experience & Qualifications
* You will need to be technically minded
* A levels including a technical / science / maths based subject or a technical or engineering / technical based BTEC
* An enthusiasm to learn and build a career as a design engineer
