How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Our client, a fast-growing and innovative premium beverages company operating within the FMCG and craft drinks sector, is seeking a hands-on and detail-focused Senior Packaging Operator to support production operations across bottling and canning lines. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production or packaging professional to join a pioneering business at an exciting stage of expansion, working within a high-quality, purpose-built fermentation and packaging facility.

    Job Role

Reporting to the Packaging Lead and working closely with the production and operations teams, the Senior Packaging Operator will play a key role in ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality packaging of products across both bottling and canning lines. You will support day-to-day production activities while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across packaging operations.

The role will involve working across multiple areas of production, including packaging, filtration, fermentation support, and warehouse operations where required. A key aspect of the position will be acting as shift support or shift supervisor as needed, helping to maintain smooth operations and high standards across the team.

Working within a rapidly scaling business based at a state-of-the-art production facility, you will contribute directly to the delivery of premium alcohol-free beverages supplied to leading retailers and high-end hospitality customers across the UK and Europe.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate and support the bottling and canning lines in line with company SOPs and quality standards
    • Alternate between shift support and shift supervisory duties on packaging lines as required
    • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times
    • Monitor packaging processes to identify risks and ensure product quality is consistently maintained
    • Assist in maintaining and improving packaging line efficiency and output performance
    • Support analysis of production performance and contribute ideas for operational improvements
    • Work closely with the Packaging Lead, Fermentation Lead, and Head of Production on process enhancements and SOP updates
    • Support training and development of team members across packaging operations
    • Assist with warehouse, fermentation, and wider production tasks where required
    • Ensure accurate handling, storage, and movement of finished goods
    • Contribute to troubleshooting and basic mechanical problem-solving on packaging equipment
    • Maintain high levels of flexibility to support changing production demands
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across production and packaging workflows

    Personal Profile

    • Previous experience in a packaging, production, or manufacturing role within FMCG, food, or drinks
    • Experience with bottling or canning operations is highly desirable
    • Mechanically minded with a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving
    • Forklift licence desirable but not essential
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving production environment
    • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and consistency
    • Reliable, proactive, and willing to take initiative
    • Strong team player with good communication skills
    • Flexible and adaptable with a positive, “can-do” attitude
    • Willingness to learn and develop within a growing business

    Benefits include:

    • Opportunity to join a rapidly expanding premium FMCG business at an early growth stage
    • Share participation scheme with meaningful employee ownership potential
    • Structured training and development opportunities
    • Supportive, collaborative, and innovative working environment
    • Regular team events, social activities, and wellness initiatives
    • Competitive salary and benefits package (dependent on experience)
    • Additional perks including birthday leave, referral bonuses, and product allowance
