How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Operative
    Eccleshall
    £32,000 (Including shift allowance)
    Rotating Shifts (Days and Nights)
    Week 1 - 06:45hrs to 19:00hrs Monday to Thursday (4 days)
    Week 2 18:45hrs to 07:00hrs Monday to Wednesday (3 nights)

    SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Production Operative to join our fast-growing manufacturing business based in Eccleshall. This is a permanent role on rotating shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and operating machines to deliver the production KPIs. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment.

    Key Tasks:
     To Operate machinery as per the Standard Operating procedures.
     To ensure hourly performance is monitored and recorded.
     To identify and correct product quality issues.
     To identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
     To complete cleaning tasks as per standard operating procedures.
     To record production data that ensures full product traceability.

    Key Objectives:
     To ensure that they always undertake their duties in compliance with company policies and procedures.
     To deliver 100% achievement of the production plan by ensuring material yield and machine availability is optimised.
     To provide excellent levels of customer service always.
     To ensure that products are produced "right, first time every time".
     To ensure that a safe and healthy work environment exists by adhering to the company health and safety and environment polices and ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation.

    Responsibilities:

     To complete short interval control, to resolve issues that are impacting performance or
     alternatively escalate where issues are unable to be resolved without support.
     To comply to Quality standards.
     To support technical trials and projects.
     To continuously challenge the status quo in relation to lost time and material losses.
     To identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement.
     To maintain 5's standards within the workplace.
     To work to VODS.
     To attend scheduled meetings on time.
     To service as and when requested to do so by your Shift Leader.ole
