How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Job Title: ICT PPA Teacher (Primary)

    Location: Sheffield (UK)
Contract: PPA Cover – term-time only
    Salary: Competitive, based on experience

    About the School

Our partner school is a diverse, vibrant primary based in Sheffield with a strong sense of community and high expectations for every child. The school prides itself on fostering ambition, resilience, and success. It delivers a broad and balanced curriculum, with Computing playing a central role in preparing pupils for the future.

Pupils are encouraged to become responsible, competent, confident and creative users of ICT. Lessons build progressively across the year groups, covering logical reasoning, algorithms, data representation, coding, e-safety, and the creative use of unfamiliar technologies. The aim is for every child to leave school not only digitally literate but also able to apply computing knowledge across subjects and real-life contexts.

    The Role

As an ICT PPA Teacher, you will:

Deliver high-quality Computing lessons during PPA cover sessions across KS1 and KS2.
Use the school’s well-planned and sequenced curriculum to ensure progression in programming, computational thinking, digital literacy and safe use of technology.
Inspire pupils to explore technology creatively and confidently, embedding cross-curricular links where appropriate.
Support children of all abilities through differentiated teaching and engaging lesson design.
Work closely with class teachers to ensure continuity of learning and share progress updates.
Contribute to the school’s ethos of high standards, resilience and success for all learners.

    Person Specification

We’re looking for a teacher who:

Holds a recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
Has experience teaching ICT/Computing at primary level, with strong subject knowledge.
Can demonstrate effective classroom management and the ability to engage learners from diverse backgrounds.
Is adaptable, organised, and able to work collaboratively with staff.
Shares a commitment to safeguarding, pupil wellbeing, and high academic achievement.

    What We Offer

The chance to work in a forward-thinking primary school with strong leadership and an ambitious vision for learning.
A supportive and inclusive school community that values both pupils and staff.
Dedicated support from PK Education – with clear communication and ongoing professional advice.
Competitive rates of pay and flexible working arrangements.

    How to Apply

If you’re passionate about teaching Computing and want to inspire children to thrive in a digital world, we’d love to hear from you.

Please send your CV and a covering letter to or call (phone number removed) for more details.

PK Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All posts are subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS checks and relevant employment checks
