Due to growth, our client, a well-established freight forwarding company are actively seeking a skilled FCL Imports professional to join their Ocean freight team.
In this role, you will take full ownership of full-container-load shipments, ensuring a seamless process from origin to final destination.
Job Overview
Managing end-to-end FCL import procedures, from booking to final UK delivery.
Coordinating with international offices and shipping lines regarding schedules, container availability, and documentation.
Liaising with internal customs teams to ensure timely clearance.
Arranging UK transport and liaising with warehouses for de-vanning.
Proactively tracking shipments and resolving any logistical bottlenecks.
Maintaining high-quality customer service by ensuring client commitments are met.
Updating systems accurately and assisting with document management (Bills of Lading).Job Requirements
Proven experience in Ocean Import Operations, specifically focusing on FCL shipments.
Strong knowledge of container shipping documentation and processes.
Confident in liaising with carriers regarding container availability and performance.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of customs procedures (beneficial).Salary & Benefits
