Job Title: Production Manager (Welding & Fabrication)
Location: Strood
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + Electric Company Car
The Client
Kemp Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading engineering and construction services provider, known for delivering high-quality structural, mechanical, and specialist fabrication solutions. Their work spans from excavator attachments through to large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects.
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to lead operations at their Strood facility.
The Role – Production Manager
This is a senior leadership position where you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the welding and fabrication workshop. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage daily operations within the fabrication facility
Develop and manage production schedules to meet deadlines and client requirements
Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment to maximise efficiency
Ensure all work complies with quality standards and specifications
Monitor KPIs across output, efficiency, and quality
Drive continuous improvement across production processes
Work closely with senior management and engineering teams
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
Manage, develop, and support workshop staffThe Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience as a Production Manager or senior supervisor within welding/fabrication
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding techniques, and quality standards
Excellent organisational and planning skills
Strong leadership and team management experience
Good understanding of health & safety within an industrial environment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong communication and problem-solving skillsWhat’s on Offer:
