Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Manufacturing General Operative to join our production team. This role involves a variety of tasks within a busy manufacturing environment, including packing products, operating saws and machinery, and carrying out general production duties as required. The position can involve physical work, so applicants should be physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Packing finished products in line with company quality standards
* Operating saws and other manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently
* Assisting with general production and manufacturing tasks
* Loading and unloading materials and products
* Maintaining a clean and organised work area
* Following health and safety procedures at all times
* Carrying out manual handling and physical tasks as required
* Supporting other areas of the production process when needed
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is desirable but not essential
* Ability to operate machinery or willingness to be trained
* Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling tasks
* Strong work ethic and reliability
* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
* Good awareness of health and safety practices
