Mechanical Estimator

Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working exclusively with our client to recruit a Mechanical Estimator for a growing and highly respected organisation delivering specialist solutions across the UK and Europe. This is an opportunity to join a business known for quality, speed and reliability, working on projects for leading global customers.

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a central role in preconstruction activity and work winning strategy. You will collaborate with commercial, sales and design teams to produce accurate and competitive estimates that directly influence project success and business growth.  

The Opportunity:
As a Mechanical Estimator you will play a key role in:

Reading and interpreting technical documentation to understand full project requirements

Producing accurate cost estimates across mechanical scopes
Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive and realistic pricing

Preparing clear tender submissions including reports, specifications and supporting data

Supporting post tender activities including re quotes, meetings and technical clarifications

Your work will directly contribute to securing new projects and ensuring commercially sound project delivery across the UK and Europe.

About You:
We’re looking for someone who can bring:

Proven experience as an Estimator (M&E Bias) or similar estimating role within construction

Strong understanding of mechanical systems within building or mission critical environments

Ability to interpret drawings, models and bills of quantities with accuracy

Confidence working both independently and collaboratively across cross functional teams

Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail

Clear communication skills with the ability to present technical information effectively

Experience using MS Office and CAD or 3D take off tools such as Revit, Navisworks or BIM platforms

Experience of working in mission critical facilities is desirable but not essential
