Start Date: ASAP, Location: Central Sheffield, Rate: Upto £25.00 per hour. Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm
The successful Steel Erector will be working on the installation of secondary steelwork as part of a busy construction programme. You will be required to work accurately from engineering drawings and deliver high quality installation work while maintaining strict health and safety standards.
Duties of the Steel Erector:
* Installing secondary steelwork, including 100x50 PFC sections.
* Completing drilled and bolted connections, including angled cleats.
* Working from and interpreting engineering drawings accurately.
* Ensuring all steelwork is installed in line with specification and tolerances.
* Maintaining high standards of Health and Safety on an active construction site.
* Working as part of a team while also being able to work independently when required.
Requirements for the Steel Erector:
* Valid CSCS card (or equivalent).
* Proven experience as a Steel Erector on construction sites.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently.
* Strong understanding of on site Health and Safety procedures.
* Own hand tools required (including nut runner).
* Mag drill advantageous but not essential.
