£40,000 – £45,000   per annum 
Sunday to Friday 
Hours: 0800 – 1700
 
We are seeking experienced Red Meat & Poultry Butcher / Caterer, to join us as we continue to strengthen and expand our business.
 
Working in a chilled environment boning, trimming and preparing red meat primal cuts and portioning / cutting to exact customer specifications (Beef, Pork, Lamb, Poultry).
 
Duties will include, but not limited to: 

Following the company’s food safety culture through production and cleaning.
Preparing meat to customer specification, including boning, trimming, tying, portioning to specification to make it easier for the customer.
Portioning cutting Steaks and chops to exact customer weight specification.
Maintaining personal hygiene, work rules including the clean as you go policy with clean workstations to reduce the risk of food contamination.
Complying with PPE requirements and adhering to safety guidelines
Maintaining batch coding and traceability with goods in process
Storing meat and goods in the correct facilities and temperature-controlled areas.
Fulfilment of orders.
Ensuring waste is minimal and you work in a cost-efficient manner.
 
We are looking for applicants with the following skills, attributes, and experience:

Previous butchery, boning, trimming and portion control experience. 
Must be willing to work with both Halal and Non-Halal products.
Able to prove experience on a Block test.
Ability to portion control Steaks and various cuts essential to a high standard.
Good work ethic and ability to function as a part of a team.
All candidates need to have a good understanding of the English Language be able to read orders and specifications.
Must have the right work UK.
Industry recognised qualification is an advantage, but not essential with a high level of experience.
