The Role
As a Yard Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining the presentation and readiness of a modern fleet while supporting workshop operations. The position suits a hands-on Yard Assistant who takes pride in high standards and enjoys working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out thorough external washing and internal valeting of fleet vehicles
Complete pre-delivery checks to ensure vehicles meet high presentation and safety standards
Support vehicle movements within the workshop and yard
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard environment at all times
Assist with general housekeeping, including welfare facilities
Support deliveries and collections to local service providers and occasional customer sitesHealth & Safety
Follow all safe working practices, risk assessments, and PPE requirements
Maintain a clean and hazard-free working environment
Report and address any safety concerns promptlyAbout You
HGV Class 2 licence (minimum) with Driver Qualification Card
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
Good communication skills
