Veritas Education are currently recruiting dedicated and adaptable Maths Graduate Teaching Assistants for secondary schools in North West London. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, supporting students' learning, building their confidence, and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey. Roles are full-time, term-time only, and available to start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities for Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant include:
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting classroom learning.
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, including those with SEN, helping to reinforce learning.
Support the development of students' academic skills as well as their social and emotional growth.
Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Prepare and organise teaching resources to support lesson delivery and student engagement.
Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to track student progress and implement learning strategies.About you:
Degree in an Maths or a related subject
Experience working with children or young people (e.g. in schools, tutoring, youth work, or mentoring)
Demonstrate enthusiasm and a professional and friendly approach
Have knowledge and/or experience supporting children within special educational needs
School based experience preferred but not essentialGraduates with relevant experience or an interest in pursuing a career in education are encouraged to apply.
