How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Primary School Teacher – Islington
    Full-time | Permanent and Long-Term Opportunities
    Start Date: Immediate and September roles available
    Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
    Destination Education, a specialist education recruitment agency, is recruiting Primary School Teachers across all year groups for immediate placements and ahead of the new academic year in September.
    We work with a wide range of supportive and well-established primary schools across Islington and surrounding areas. Schools are looking for enthusiastic and committed teachers for EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 roles. Opportunities include both permanent and long-term positions, making them ideal for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking their first role.
    The Role

    Full-time class teacher positions starting immediately or in September
    Opportunities across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 depending on experience and preference
    Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum
    Assessing and tracking pupil progress
    Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environmentWhat You’ll Do:
    You will deliver high-quality teaching that supports pupil progress and achievement. This includes planning and preparing engaging lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum, as well as assessing and monitoring pupil outcomes to inform your teaching. You will work closely with colleagues and school leaders to maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment, while contributing to the wider school community.
    Requirements

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Experience teaching within the UK primary curriculum
    Strong classroom management and organisational skills
    Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
