This role is for a Design Engineer supporting the development of motorcycle bodywork and seating components, contributing to the design and refinement of high-quality parts within a collaborative engineering environment. The position combines on-site involvement with flexibility, requiring attendance on-site two days per week, with scope for adjustment for the right individual.
Job Responsibilities:
* Support the design and development of motorcycle bodywork and seat components
* Produce and modify 3D models and engineering drawings using Creo
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and quality
* Contribute to design reviews, prototyping, and product validation activities
* Apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, particularly plastics
* Ensure designs meet performance, durability, and aesthetic requirements
Experience Required:
* Proven experience as a Design Engineer within automotive or motorcycle sectors
* Strong proficiency in Creo, ideally at an advanced level
* Experience with plastics design for interior and/or exterior components
* Motorcycle industry experience preferred, though automotive backgrounds considered
* Understanding of product development processes from concept through to production
* Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Salary description
£40.00 - £43.00 per hour
