Playground Supervisor
Location: Deal, Kent
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 12:00pm till 13:00pm
Contract Type: 1 – Month
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Playground Supervisor to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour of pupils during break and lunchtime periods. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe and enjoyable outdoor environment within a school setting in Deal.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise pupils during break and lunch periods to ensure their safety at all times
* Encourage positive play and inclusive behaviour among pupils
* Manage minor incidents and conflicts in a calm and professional manner
* Report any safeguarding or behavioural concerns to the appropriate staff
* Administer basic first aid where required
* Ensure playground rules are followed consistently
* Assist with setting up and putting away playground equipment where necessary
* Maintain vigilance and respond promptly to any accidents or issues
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
* A calm, patient, and approachable manner
* Strong observational skills and the ability to act quickly when needed
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training provided)
* Enhanced DBS check
