Role Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to provide both proactive and reactive electrical support within an operational environment. The role focuses on fault finding, emergency repairs, and ensuring all electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
The position includes participation in an on-call rota to respond to breakdowns and urgent issues outside of normal working hours.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to electrical breakdowns and emergency call-outs in a timely and effective manner
Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of electrical systems and equipment
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure equipment reliability and longevity
Maintain compliance with all relevant electrical, safety, and regulatory standards
Work on electrical components including motors, contactors, relays, and inverters
Support and troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems where required
Minimise downtime and ensure production or operational continuity
Accurately record all maintenance activities using internal systems
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance
Collaborate with wider engineering and operational teams
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety at all times

Salary: £41,298.40 per annum
Hourly Rate: £19.85 per hour
Working Hours (Flexible Options):
06:00 - 14:00
07:00 - 15:00
08:00 - 16:00
On-Call Rota:
1 week in every 4
Overtime Rates:
Monday to Saturday: Time and a half (1.5x)
Sunday: Double time (2x)
Call-Out Payments:
Weekday: £109.39
Weekend: £145.86
Assisted Call-Out Payments:
Weekday: £131.61
Weekend: £168.08

Technical Requirements
Qualified Electrician (desierable)
Strong experience with:Working knowledge of PLC systems (fault finding / basic diagnostics)

Experience
Previous experience in a maintenance or industrial environment
Proven ability to respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs under pressure
Experience working within an on-call or shift-based role (preferred)
