Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school located in the Ramsbottom area. This is a full-time position with an immediate start available, offering a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 within a supportive and engaging school environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to help deliver high-quality learning experiences, support pupil progress, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys working with children, and is eager to make a real difference in the classroom on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and boost attainment
Assisting with classroom preparation, resources, and displays
Providing tailored support to pupils with additional needs where required
Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil engagement
Monitoring and recording pupil progress when appropriate
Supporting the overall pastoral and academic development of pupils
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (desirable but not essential)
A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for working in primary education
Relevant TA qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are advantageous but not mandatory
