How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Production Planner | Cambridge | 5 days on site | up to £40k

We are currently partnering with a food manufacturing business that’s looking to hire a Production Planner to join their team in Cambridge (5 days on site).

This role sits at the core of short‑ to medium‑term production and logistics planning, ensuring plans are accurate, achievable, and fully aligned with stock levels, packaging availability, transport, and customer requirements.

It’s a great opportunity to join a business with clear goals and ambitions, where continuous improvement, personal development, and proactive problem‑solving are genuinely encouraged.

    In this role,

    You will:

    • Manage production and stock transactions in JDE, maintain Bills of Material, and ensure system data accuracy to support effective planning and execution.
    • Develop and maintain a medium‑term production plan (up to week 4), communicating schedules and changes clearly to Supply Chain teams and customers.
    • Plan and order packaging and pallets, organise transport where required, and manage delivery documentation including delivery notes.
    • Coordinate toll milling, bran processing, and third‑party production, including volume calculations and scheduling to meet operational needs.
    • Collate KPI data for milling and packing, track performance against SMART objectives (including OEE), and provide absence cover for Production and Logistics Planning activities (milling, packing, and intake).

    About you:

    • Demonstrated experience in production or supply planning, scheduling, and purchasing within an operational or manufacturing environment.
    • Excellent coordination skills with the ability to communicate effectively across production, logistics, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
    • Experience working with third‑party logistics providers and using ERP systems, with JDE highly desirable.
    • Confident user of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, to support planning, reporting, and analysis.
