Specifications technologist – permanent
Hybrid working by agreement – up to two days per week WFH
Due to continued growth within our business, we are seeking to appoint an additional Specifications Technologist with experience in the food industry, including exposure to different specifications/data systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Complete queries in the technical inbox working to agreed deadlines
- Accurately prepare, manage, and maintain specifications, including use of customer portals
- Ensure all technical documentation meets both company and regulatory standards
- Stay up-to-date with UK food regulations, ensuring compliance across the board
- Effectively communicate technical information to both internal and external stakeholders
Person Preference:
- Experience in writing and managing specifications in the food manufacturing industry is useful
- Herb/spice/ingredient experience useful
- Knowledge of UK food laws, labelling, and regulatory requirements is useful
- Attention to detail with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with both internal and external stakeholder
Qualifications
Degree in a scientific subject preferable
Experience
Previous experience of specification work in the food industry
Herb/spice/ingredient industry useful
