How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A leading international law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its highly regarded Capital Markets & Derivatives team in London. This is an opportunity to work within a well-established finance platform, known for its technical strength, cross-border capability, and consistent involvement in complex, high-value transactions.

    The Firm

The firm operates at the top end of the market, with a strong presence across key financial centres. Its finance practice is a core pillar of the business, bringing together a broad bench of specialists across capital markets, structured finance, and derivatives. Clients include major financial institutions, asset managers, insurers, and corporate entities, reflecting the firm’s longstanding relationships and reputation for delivering commercially focused advice.

    The Team

The Capital Markets & Derivatives team is integrated within a wider finance group of significant scale, offering both depth and breadth of expertise. The team is known for its collaborative culture and international outlook, frequently working alongside colleagues across Europe and other global offices. Partners are hands-on and closely involved in transactions, creating a supportive environment for associates to develop technically while gaining direct client exposure.

    The Work

You will advise on a diverse mix of matters spanning structured finance, derivatives, and debt capital markets. This includes securitised derivatives and structured products, repackagings, OTC derivatives, repo and stock lending arrangements, and strategic equity financings. The team’s varied workload ensures exposure to different products and client types, enabling you to build a genuinely broad skill set within a single practice.

    About You

You will be a qualified lawyer in England & Wales (or a comparable common law jurisdiction) with 2–5 years’ post-qualification experience in derivatives, structured finance, and/or debt capital markets.
