How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are working with a leading international law firm who are seeking an Associate Solicitor to join their Derivatives & Structured Finance practice within their London office.


    The Role

    The successful candidate will join a globally ranked Structured Finance team, working on some of the most complex financing transactions in the market. The candidate will work on matters such as securitisation (private or public), OTC and securitised derivatives, debt capital markets, asset backed securities, receivables financing, and asset-based lending. Responsibilities include working on major regional and national projects, advising on both UK and cross-border structured finance deals, and drafting and reviewing structured finance documents.


    The candidate will have the opportunity to support a highly reputable client base, working with a range of top-tier clients, including UK clearing banks, European and investment banks, independent financiers, funders and corporate borrowers from listed companies. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to participate in business development initiatives while managing client relationships.


    Essential Criteria:

    • 3+ PQE;
    • Strong background in structured finance and derivatives within a medium to large international or City law firm;
    • Demonstrable commercial awareness;
    • Excellent academics;
    • Negotiation skills;
    • Strong communication skills;
    • Ability to work independently and within a team.
