How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Corporate & Venture Capital Associate | NQ – 2 PQE | West End | Legal 500 & Chambers Ranked Law Firm

Are you a junior corporate solicitor looking to build your career in a genuinely entrepreneurial, sector-led environment? This is an excellent opportunity to join one of London’s most respected corporate teams advising clients at the cutting edge of media, entertainment, technology and venture capital.

This firm offers a rare blend of high-quality transactional work, standout clients and a culture that encourages early responsibility, commercial thinking and long-term progression.

    The Firm

This leading London law firm is recognised for its deep-rooted presence in the music, media, entertainment and technology sectors, with a client base that reads like the credits of an awards ceremony. It would be difficult to find a major name in the media industry that the firm has not advised, with its work frequently making international press.

The firm has built its reputation representing UHNW/HNW individuals and businesses across all areas of law, often advising artists at pivotal stages of their careers, including the negotiation of high-profile record and commercial deals designed to support long-term success. Alongside this, the firm advises on complex corporate, commercial and wealth structures, acting on sophisticated, high-value matters.

The practice is highly ranked in the Legal 500, with a growing number of lawyers recognised as leaders in their field. As a full-service firm, it combines sector expertise with a broad commercial offering, including corporate and venture capital, wealth management, IP and emerging technologies.

Recent work includes advising on a landmark entertainment deal with one of the world’s largest companies, valued in excess of $2 billion.

Culturally, the firm stands out for its entrepreneurial approach and long-term investment in its people. Many partners are home-grown, and the firm enjoys exceptional staff retention, reflecting a supportive, engaging environment where lawyers are encouraged to build sustainable, fulfilling careers.

    The Team

The Corporate & Venture Capital team advises an impressive client base on transactional and advisory matters in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment, with a strong focus on entrepreneurs, talent and investors across media, entertainment and technology.

Many lawyers joined from large-firm environments to gain broader exposure, earlier responsibility and a more entrepreneurial way of working.

Junior associates work closely with partners and senior lawyers, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of matters and real responsibility from an early stage. The team regularly acts opposite specialist media firms as well as City and US / international law firms, offering excellent training, confidence-building and long-term development.

    The Role

This is an opportunity for a junior associate (up to 2 years PQE) to join a growing and thriving Corporate & Venture Capital team. You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of matters, including:

    • M&A transactions, investments and joint ventures
    • Shareholder agreements and corporate restructurings
    • Venture capital and private equity matters
    • Corporate governance and company law advisory work

You’ll be encouraged to take ownership of your workstreams, develop strong technical foundations and build trusted client relationships. There is also the scope to get involved in business development and, over time, develop your own client base aligned with the firm’s specialist sectors.

What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out

    • Join a renowned, high-performing firm where you’ll advise and act in truly high-profile, high-value cases.
    • High-quality corporate and venture capital work in the media, entertainment and tech space.
    • Early responsibility and close partner access.
    • Exposure to entrepreneurial clients and fast-growth businesses.
    • A supportive, collaborative culture with strong progression prospects.

    Requirements

    • Corporate solicitor with NQ - 2 years’ PQE (England & Wales), who has worked within established practices.
    • Exposure to corporate matters such as M&A, investments, venture capital, shareholders’ agreements and governance.
    • Strong technical ability with excellent attention to detail.
    • Commercial mindset and enthusiasm for client-facing work.
    • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
