Class 1 Driver

Class 1 driver who is experienced in Transport plant machinery, abnormal and wide loads across the UK. Follow strict pre-approved routes and movement orders. MUST have strict understanding of route restrictions of bridge heights and limits. Load and unload machinery safely following procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

* Safely operate Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed lorries, across designated routes

* Load and unload goods with care, ensuring securement of cargo during transit

* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly

* Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during deliveries

* Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries and pick-ups

* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate schedules

* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times

Requirements

* Valid Class 1 driving licence with a clean driving record

* Proven experience with low loaders/plant transport

* Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations preferred

* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently

* Ability to work independently and responsibly under pressure

* Good communication skills and professional attitude

* Physically fit
