The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a junior Legal Counsel to join a high-performing Commercial Legal Team based in London. Reporting into a senior commercial lawyer, this role will support commercial legal matters across the Northern Region (UK, Ireland, and Nordics). The position offers exposure to a wide range of commercial agreements and cross-border work within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements including NDAs, DPAs, MSAs, service agreements, frameworks, and contract variations.
- Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to stakeholders across sales, procurement, and operations, balancing legal risk with commercial priorities.
- Support the full contract lifecycle, including issue spotting, risk assessment, and resolution of contractual queries and disputes.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of legal templates, playbooks, and internal processes.
- Monitor and communicate legal and regulatory developments within the technology and telecommunications sectors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams on commercial transactions.
About you:
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent common-law jurisdiction) with 1–2 years’ PQE.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence engaging non-legal stakeholders.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- A pragmatic mindset with a commercial approach to problem-solving.
- Genuine interest in building a long-term in-house career within the technology or telecommunications sector.
