About Us:
Our client is a leading private sector organisation, committed to delivering exceptional services while fostering a positive work environment. Are currently seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join their dynamic HR team.
Job Purpose:
The Employee Relations Specialist will provide professional advice rooted in strong legal knowledge and procedural understanding across all core people processes. This role is pivotal in supporting line managers with complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment legislation while promoting continuous improvement in HR practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with line managers to effectively manage all people processes, including discipline, grievances, flexible working requests, and medical accommodations.
- Provide legal and procedural advice on complex employee relations matters, ensuring timely delivery of all HR actions.
- Document and track all cases using our Oracle system, monitoring actions and escalating cases as necessary.
- Produce reports to track compliance and business outcomes, identifying recurring issues and collaborating with Employee Relations Management to resolve them.
- Support the review and enhancement of people processes and procedures to promote legal compliance and business effectiveness.
- Engage in other business activities as directed, utilizing your capabilities to contribute to the organisation’s success.
Qualifications:
- CIPD qualification or equivalent legal background preferred.
- Proven HR experience, particularly in a unionised environment.
- Trade Union Experience would be an advantage
- Familiarity with fast-paced shared HR centre culture.
- Strong employee relations skills, with a proactive, “can-do” attitude.
- A process-focused mindset with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Commitment to continuous self-development.
