A global investment bank is currently recruiting for a Loan Sales Associate on a permanent basis to support its EMEA Distribution and Syndication (DAR) Sales team, following continued growth in loan market activity.
They are based in London and offer hybrid working, with 3 days per week in the office.
They are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Associate to support the marketing and distribution of primary and secondary loan transactions to institutional investors across the EMEA region, working closely with Sales, Syndicate, Trading and Relationship Management teams.
Key Responsibilities
Primary & Secondary Loan Distribution
- Support the sales desk with the execution of primary syndications and secondary loan trades.
- Work with Syndicate teams to consolidate investor feedback, coordinate Q&A and support primary deal execution.
- Assist with post‑trade activity, proactively helping to resolve settlement issues.
Market Analysis & Investor Coverage
- Prepare liquidity analysis, investor feedback reports and internal market summaries.
- Maintain and develop an investor activity database, tracking coverage, trades and engagement.
- Monitor fund flows, CLO and warehouse activity, and secondary market pricing levels.
- Source market intelligence from public platforms (e.g. Bloomberg, DebtDomain) to support trade ideas.
Client Engagement & Sales Support
- Market primary and secondary loan opportunities to a portfolio of institutional investors.
- Maintain regular dialogue with investors and support new investor onboarding and development.
- Attend daily sales calls and weekly market meetings, contributing analysis and insights where appropriate.
- Ensure internal systems are kept up to date, including sales logs and client call notes.
The Ideal Candidate
- Prior exposure to banking, finance, or capital markets, ideally within loan sales, syndication, trading, or credit.
- Strong analytical and research skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident engaging internal and external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, resilience under pressure and a collaborative mindset.
- Fluency in English essential; additional European languages a strong advantage.
- Flexibility to accommodate transaction‑driven workflows.
