How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This Residential Support Worker role involves working with young people who may have experienced trauma, mental health challenges, family breakdown, exploitation, or time in care. You will provide consistent, practical, and emotional support to help them build confidence, develop independent living skills, and achieve positive outcomes.

    • Encourage engagement in education, training, and employment
    • Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and positive decision-making
    • Support attendance at appointments, reviews, and multi-agency meetings
    • Complete accurate documentation including daily logs, care plans, and risk assessments
    • Maintain safeguarding standards and follow children’s residential care regulations
    • Act as a positive role model, maintaining clear and consistent boundaries

    About You

We are seeking motivated and reliable Support Workers who are committed to safeguarding and empowering young people.

    You will ideally:

    • Have experience working in children’s residential care, supported accommodation, youth support, or similar settings
    • Understand trauma-informed practice and safeguarding procedures
    • Remain calm and confident in challenging situations
    • Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
    • Work effectively both independently and within a team
    • Be flexible with shift patterns including evenings and sleep-ins
    • Hold a full UK driving licence (desirable)

Qualifications in Health and Social Care (Level 2 or 3) are advantageous but not essential. We welcome candidates with the right values, resilience, and willingness to learn.

    What We Offer

    • Flexible agency shifts to suit your availability
    • Competitive pay rates
    • Comprehensive induction and ongoing training
    • Fully funded mandatory and specialist training including:
    – Safeguarding Children
    – Trauma-Informed Practice
    – Mental Health Awareness
    – Exploitation and Risk Management
    – De-escalation and Behaviour Support
    • Career progression opportunities
    • Supportive, values-led management
    • Employee wellbeing support

    Safeguarding Commitment

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and proof of right to work in the UK.
