How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Year 6 Teacher & Key Stage 2 Phase Leader

    Hillingdon, West London
    Start: September 2026

    Contract: 1 Year (Maternity Cover)

    Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR 2b (£6,000 approx.)

    A Church of England primary school in the London Borough of Hillingdon is recruiting a skilled Year 6 Teacher to join from September 2026. This is a full-time maternity cover position with added responsibility as Key Stage 2 Phase Leader (Years 3-6).

    This Year 6 class is entering their final year of primary education having made strong academic progress in Year 5. The cohort is supported by a full-time Teaching Assistant, with two pupils requiring additional SEND support. Regular PPA time is built in and shared with a parallel Year 6 teacher.

    Key responsibilities:

    Deliver high-quality Year 6 teaching, including preparation for SATs
    Maintain strong behaviour management and clear classroom routines
    Plan engaging lessons that stretch and challenge all learners
    Lead and support KS2 staff, providing guidance and best practice across Years 3-6The school is looking for a confident practitioner with proven Upper Key Stage 2 experience, ideally within Year 6. You will need to be organised, resilient, and capable of balancing teaching with leadership duties. Dedicated release time is provided to fulfil your Phase Leader responsibilities.
