With up to 80 covers at dinner and 40 at lunch, the kitchen is well‑positioned for further growth as the lunch trade develops.
 
This is a hands‑on leadership role reporting directly to a supportive General Manager (a former Head Chef), working with owners who bring extensive hospitality expertise and a forward‑looking approach to future projects.
 
You will join an established brigade of local staff, where strong leadership, high standards, and a collaborative spirit are essential.

Salary: £17.50 per hour (OTE £50,000, plus approx. £3,000 TRONC)
 
Accommodation: Live‑in available; four rooms with shared kitchen, lounge and bathroom, provided free of charge

The Role

Lead and inspire an 18‑person kitchen team across a busy, quality‑focused service.
Maintain consistency, GP targets (low 70s), and high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Deliver seasonal menus, daily specials, and accessible à la carte dishes.
Support the development of new lunch offerings and contribute to year‑round events.
Ensure smooth service across key stations, including starters, desserts, larder, frier, pizza, and KP support.
Uphold excellent food safety standards, including Level 3 food safety as a minimum requirement.  
About You

Ambitious, energetic and capable of holding your own in a busy kitchen.
Minimum 2 years' experience and confident managing all aspects of service and prep.
Community‑minded, personable, and able to integrate with a largely local team.
Strong organisational skills and attention to paperwork, compliance and cleanliness.
