Company Description
Antikor Biopharma Ltd is a biotechnology company specialising in the discovery and development of small-format Antibody (Fragment) Drug Conjugates (FDCs). FDCs are an innovative approach to targeted chemotherapy, combining the precision of antibodies with the effectiveness of small-molecule drugs. These smaller conjugates offer enhanced tumour penetration, improved safety and faster systemic clearance, promising a higher therapeutic index. With a focus on advancing next-generation therapies for solid tumours, Antikor is particularly committed to developing treatments for gastrointestinal and other difficult-to-treat cancers. Originally spun out from Imperial College, the company is headquartered with laboratories and offices in Stevenage, UK.
In 2025, Antikor was acquired by Hong Kong listed, mid-sized biopharma company (Essex Biotechnology Ltd) who specialise in ophthalmology and regenerative medicine and are expanding into oncology. Under this new partnership, Antikor has fresh ambitions as well as developing innovative, FDC-products for solid tumours. Hence these are exciting and progressive times for Antikor.
