How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Product Owner(Agentic AI)

    About the role

    We are seeking a highly experienced Product Owner for our client, you will be an integral member of their Agile Team, acting as the primary voice of the customer. Your role is pivotal in liaising with Product Management and various stakeholders, including fellow Product Owners, to ensure that the team's direction is aligned with the broader organisational goals and customer needs. With a keen understanding of both the conceptual and technical aspects of product features, you will be entrusted with the vital task of defining Stories and meticulously prioritising the Team Backlog.

    Your contribution as a Product Owner extends beyond mere backlog management. You play a crucial role in amplifying the value generated by the team(s). By ensuring that the Stories are not only well- defined but also resonate with the users' requirements, you guarantee that they adhere to the Definition of Done. Your focus remains unwavering on delivering quality and value, ensuring that each feature or component developed is both functional and in line with the users' expectations. Your proactive approach and commitment to excellence make you a cornerstone in the product development process, driving both innovation and user satisfaction.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a team working on Agentic solutions to high value business problems. Working hand in hand with delivery and engineering, you will be responsible for the end to end product lifecycle, from inception through to adoption, in the world of Procurement. Focussed on value realisation you’ll need to be able to prioritise competing demands, and ensure you manage your stakeholders to get the best from them, and for them.

    Shifts: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)


    Key responsibilities

    • Lead on the E2E product lifecycle focussing on agentic AI solutions
    • Be able to dive into the detail, whilst holding the big picture, and be able to storytell both
    • Understand the technical solutions being scoped and discussed, and able to support how the business value will get realised
    • Support adoption and use of agentic solutions to business problems
    • Prepare for planning events, update the team(s) backlog and contributes to the programme vision, roadmap, and content presentations
    • Support programme backlog refinement and prep for quarterly direction sessions
    • And prioritisation
    • Support story definition, providing the clarifications necessary to assist the team(s) with their story estimates and sequencing
    • Lead on sprint goal creation objectives together with the entire Agile team(s)
    • Build, edit, and maintain the team backlog, with input from System Architect/Engineering and other stakeholders
    • Prioritise and reprioritise the backlog items based on agreed prioritisation framework, and ensure stakeholders are involved and aligned in this process
    • Communicate user story detail and priorities and ensures the team aligns and agrees on a final iteration plan
    • Collaborate with the product team(s) to detail stories with acceptance criteria and examples in the form of acceptance tests (Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD))
    • Validate that user stories meet acceptance criteria, ensuring that it complies with the
    • Definition of Done (DoD)
    • Understand the scope of upcoming enabler work and collaborate with Solution
    • Architects/Engineering to assist with decision-making and sequencing
    • Participate in team demos and retrospectives with their team(s) and any other stakeholders including the Iteration Retrospectives, with the aim of improving the delivery teams, processes and working practices
    • Work across teams to define and implement improvement stories that will increase the velocity and quality of the program
    • Attend the relevant Product Management events for planning and Programme Backlog/Vision refinement
    • We are looking for individuals with ability to provide both a technical and a commercial focus, with the ability to analyse and understand complex business processes, drive change assessment, and identify opportunities for improvement, simplification, and re-usability.
    • We are looking for individuals able to navigate through uncertainty, with high agility and adaptability that work smarter not harder.
    • This role may require some travel and working from multiple sites/locations within UK and internationally. You must be willing and able to travel to participate in meetings, workshops and other related activities.

    Qualifications

    • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
    • Recognised Agile qualifications (Scrum)..

    • Forming strong stakeholder relationships, with a proven ability of influencing and persuading internally and externally

    • Ability to recognise priorities and guide others towards the accomplishment of strategic business goals and objectives
    • Dynamic, problem-solving approach coupled with the ability to create a positive working environment
    • Fluent written and spoken English


    Experience

    • Proven experience of working as a Product Owner in an agile environment, with strong understanding of Agile events
    • Demonstratable experience of successfully leading Product teams in an Agile setting, whilst also taking into consideration Waterfall delivery initiatives
    • Experience of working in a business and technology delivery environment
    • Collaboration with portfolio management and business owners to define the product release versions and Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
    • Demonstrable experience of documentation, which must include Scope
    • Statements, Epics and User Stories
