Safety Engagement Officer
📍 Hybrid – Cambridge, UK
🦺 AI + Safety | 🚛 Logistics | 🌍 Real-World Impact
ABOUT ROBOK
We’re building AI that keeps people safe across industrial environments — ports, warehouses, freight terminals and more. Our platform helps uncover hidden safety risks using existing CCTV infrastructure, reducing incidents and transforming how operations run. We're already deployed in UK & international workplaces safeguarding people and assets.
THE ROLE
We are looking for someone with a background in health and safety who can communicate clearly with a professional safety audience.
You’ll be helping communicate insights drawn from real operational environments, without relying on generic assumptions about safety.
Our core audience includes safety managers, EHS leads, and operational stakeholders. They work in complex environments shaped by audits, reporting requirements, and day-to-day operational pressures.
This role focuses on representing RoboK in a way that is credible to that audience.
You will contribute to content, community engagement, and industry activity, ensuring communication reflects real operational understanding.
You will work closely with leadership to support how RoboK presents itself within the safety community.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Content
- Develop written content for a professional safety audience, including LinkedIn posts, case studies, and short-form materials
- Support the development of customer-facing materials, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and grounded in real use cases
- Contribute to sector-specific content across logistics, ports, and industrial environments
Outreach and Community
- Engage with relevant H&S forums, professional groups, and industry bodies (IOSH, IIRSM, BOHS, SHE Awards, etc.)
- Build relationships with individuals active in the safety community
- Support RoboK’s presence in industry discussions and network
Events
- Support attendance at industry events and conferences
- Assist with coordination, follow-up, and related content
- Contribute to how RoboK participates in relevant industry conversations
Lead Support
- Assist in maintaining engagement with interested organisations
- Work with the commercial team to ensure communication aligns with audience needs
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
- Background in health and safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent), with practical understanding of operational environments
- Ability to write clearly and appropriately for a professional audience
- Interest in the role of technology in supporting safety
- Organised and able to work independently within a small team
Desirable
- Experience in logistics, ports, manufacturing, or construction
- Familiarity with professional H&S networks (IOSH, IIRSM, etc.)
- Experience contributing to LinkedIn or professional community discussions
- Exposure to basic marketing or communication tools
WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
This is not a traditional marketing role and is unlikely to suit candidates without H&S experience.
It is also not a site-based safety role. Although site visits to customer sites may be included.
This role sits between operational safety and external communication, requiring an understanding of both.
WHY JOIN ROBOK?
- Full ownership of marketing execution as a trusted contributor
- Direct collaboration with the CEO and commercial leadership
- Competitive salary & benefits
- Clear scope to grow skills and responsibility
- Work on real-world safety problems with meaningful social impact
- A role that sits at the intersection of safety, technology, and industry engagement
- Join a high-trust, focused team that values quality and autonomy
