Commercial Litigation Partner / Head of Department
Nottingham | £120,000 – £130,000+ + Bonus
A leading national Legal 500 law firm is looking to appoint a Commercial Litigation Partner / Head of Department to lead and grow its Dispute Resolution team in Nottingham.
This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitor ready to step into a senior leadership role, with full autonomy to shape, develop and expand a team over the next 3–5 years across multiple office locations.
The Opportunity
You will take on a strategic leadership position, overseeing an established Dispute Resolution team currently made up of four fee earners and legal support staff, with clear plans for growth.
The role will involve:
Leading and developing the Commercial Litigation team
Managing and growing key client relationships
Handling a broad caseload of high-quality commercial disputes
Working closely with other departments to maximise cross-referral opportunities
Playing a key role in the firm’s wider strategic growth plans

About You
- You will be an experienced Commercial Dispute Resolution Solicitor with:
- Strong technical expertise across contractual and tortious disputes
- Proven experience in business development and winning new work
- Demonstrable leadership and team management experience
- Excellent knowledge of court procedures and ADR
- A proactive and commercially minded approach
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to mentor, motivate and grow a team
