Role – Locum Team Manager Occupational Therapist
Location – Dagenham
Rate – £27-£28 an hour, potentially more for experienced candidates
Hours – Full time ideally
Contract Length – Ongoing
An opportunity has arisen within Gloucestershire County Council for six full-time (37 hours) Occupational Therapists on a temporary basis.
A clear and valid driving licence is a requirement for this role as it involves county-wide travel.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self motivated Occupational Therapists to join our council on a temporary basis. You will be working autonomously within the adult social care team completing assessments within people’s own homes and with a focus on what matters to them.
The role involves a pilot reablement project, which you will be involved in, as well as supporting the Adult Helpdesk with referrals.
Key duties and responsibilities will include working with people to identify occupational performance issues which are impacting upon their independence within their home. You will work with them to prevent, reduce and delay the impact of disability and long term health conditions supporting their wellbeing. You will work with the wider social care team to inform care needs assessments whilst working in partnership with people, voluntary and community organisations.
A clear and valid driving licence is a requirement for this role as it involves county-wide travel.
